Registration for the 2017 Leadership Workshop will open in January 2017.
The National Literacy Missions Leadership Workshop
- trains workshop leaders to train in one of three areas: English as a Second Language, Adult Reading and Writing, or Tutoring Children and Youth
- prepares leaders to help their states and associations begin new ministries that will share Jesus Christ in the community
- provides current resources to promote and support Literacy Missions ministries
- allows like-purposed volunteers to build relationships and strengthen their commitment to follow God's call
Applicant must be a member of a Southern Baptist congregation
Experience in the area of training desired is required
Approval of the state convention leader responsible for Literacy Missions Ministries is required (Ask for the authorization code)
Written assignments are due before the Leadership Workshop
Attendance at every session during the Leadership Workshop is required
Successful completion results in North American Mission Board certification to lead basic workshops in the area of Literacy Missions Ministry studied
Who should apply?
Experienced ministry teachers/tutors who are being led by God to equip other volunteers to use one of the Literacy Missions ministries as a way to share the Gospel of Jesus.
Workshop leaders who have not been to Leadership Workshop in the past 5 years. It is important that you hone your skills, freshen your presentation skills, learn from other experienced workshop leaders, and encourage those just starting out.
June 4- June 9, 2016 (Must arrive Saturday, June 3—air travelers must arrive by 5:00 p.m. Departing airline flights must be scheduled for after 1:30 on Friday, June 9 )

Housing and Meals:
Double Occupancy = $445
Single Occupancy = $585 (Note: very few single rooms will be available. These will be assigned after registration has closed. DO NOT EXPECT TO BE ASSIGNED A SINGLE ROOM. Follow the instructions on the FAQ to be placed on the waiting list.)
The housing costs are exactly what the NLMP is charged and is paid to Shocco Springs on behalf of the participants.
$50 - covers both arrival and departure trips
Applications must be approved by the state Literacy Missions Coordinator or person responsible for Ministry Evangelism.

Be aware that there will be several assignments submitted to your workshop leader before the workshop begins. Early registration is to your advantage!

Registration Fee (minus $20 electronic processing fee) refund deadline is April 19, 2017.
Partial Registration Fee (1/2 minus electronic processing fee) refund deadline is May 19, 2017.
No Registration Fee will be given after May 19, 2017.
